The Gambia Press Union (GPU) in partnership with the University of the Gambia Students’ Union (UTGSU) on 18th September, 2021 reviewed and validated a study on the prevalence of hate speech in the Gambian media.
The Gambia Press Union in partnership with Beakanyang and with support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is conducting three sets of sensitisation workshops for journalists on hate speech.
The Gambia Press Union (GPU) conducted a two-day training on Contract and Salary Negotiation for 50 journalists, editors and media managers.
The participants were trained in two sets of 25 each on the 10th and 11th September respectively at the Baobab Hotel Resort in Bijilo.
