The president of the Gambia Press Union (GPU), Sheriff Bojang Jr, accompanied by the Secretary General Saikou Jammeh today met the Minister for Health, Dr Ahmadou Lamin Samateh, at his offices in Banjul.
The high-level GPU delegation discussed with the Hon. Minister wide range of issues geared towards strengthening the cooperation between the government and media in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
The meeting discussed the role of journalists as well as the issues surrounding their freedom and safety in face of the public health emergency.
